ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR INNOVA WORLD ACADEMY?

Academic or Skill Based Background

IWA welcomes two types of educators: those with strong academic backgrounds in our core subjects—such as biologists, environmental engineers or ecologists who will be teaching science—and those who bring specialized skills, like artists, web designers, content creators, or dive masters, amongst others. Both roles are equally valued; academic educators help students master core subjects, while skilled educators share their real-world experiences and practical knowledge, making learning more engaging and well-rounded for our students.

Teaching Experience

At IWA, you don’t need to have formal teaching experience to become an educator. We believe that passion and expertise in your chosen field are what matter most. That’s why we provide comprehensive training before you ever lead a class, including one-on-one pedagogy support and ongoing workshops designed to help you succeed.

We welcome candidates who bring deep subject knowledge or unique real-world abilities, and we support every educator as they develop their teaching craft. Our philosophy moves away from traditional lecture-based, rote-learning methods. Instead, we encourage the use of fresh, innovative approaches—that we develop with each educator—that make classes more interactive and meaningful for students. In this ever-evolving world, we believe all educators should embrace continuous learning and regularly update their teaching skills, so together we can create a vibrant, modern learning environment.

Desired personal qualities in our educators

At IWA, we seek educators who are dynamic and forward-thinking, and come from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds. We value those who are willing to think “outside of the box” and who are genuinely passionate about their area of expertise, with a desire to ignite that same passion in their students. However, it is equally important that our educators embody universal human values that transcend cultural boundaries. Qualities such as empathy, fairness, honesty, respect, and responsibility are essential, as they foster a supportive and welcoming environment where every student can thrive.

Expected working hours

At IWA, educators fall into two main categories, some educators are full-time team members, working a standard 40-hour week and playing a central role in the daily academic life of our institution. Others contribute as lecturers, specialized skills instructors, project leaders, or experts whose schedules and responsibilities shift according to the courses or projects they’re involved in. This adaptable structure enables both those who want to share a specific skill or expertise on a part-time basis, and those seeking a full-time teaching post, to find their place and thrive at IWA.
