As Head of School, I often reflect on how choosing the best possible educational environment for a child is one of the most important and challenging decisions a family will make. OUR ROOTS
Innova World Academy was born out of a growing concern that traditional education is not evolving quickly enough to meet the demands of the 21st century. Today’s world requires academic excellence, technical proficiency, and advanced human competencies, yet many educational systems fall short of addressing these skills For example, competencies we once took for granted, such as students effectively communicating with their peers, have become increasingly challenging in a modern environment shaped by rapid technological change. At the same time, the abundance of new technologies means that becoming a successful entrepreneur is more achievable now, than it was twenty years ago. This reality makes it essential for students to not only master the tools available to them but also to cultivate the right mindset for innovation and resilience.
Striking the right balance between academic rigor and the entrepreneurial skills necessary for success is a complex challenge. Recognizing this, Margit Börcsök, a mathematician and educator with 35 years of experience, joined forces with Agustin Torres, a successful entrepreneur for the last 40 years, who began his first business at age 14, to create a school that truly embodies this balance. Their vision for IWA is to prepare students to thrive and become the leaders of tomorrow.
