Our rigorous mathematics courses are thoughtfully structured to ensure that every student can grasp concepts, appreciate the logical beauty of mathematics, and truly enjoy the learning process. We emphasize the importance of mathematics in developing critical thinking and spatial abstraction skills, empowering students to analyze complex situations and visualize relationships beyond the immediate. Additionally, we encourage students to apply mathematical thinking to real-world problems, helping them see the relevance and power of mathematics in everyday life.

The science curriculum is meticulously designed to provide students with a robust grounding in scientific principles and inquiry. It emphasizes how scientific theories are developed and validated through careful observation, systematic experimentation, and evidence-based reasoning, acknowledging that these theories may evolve as new discoveries emerge. This approach empowers students to critically evaluate scientific information, draw informed and evidence-based conclusions using sound reasoning, and develop lifelong scientific literacy that they can confidently apply across academic disciplines and real-world contexts.

Adolescence

When students reach adolescence, they encounter numerous social, emotional, and physical changes. Our dedicated educators are prepared to support them through these transformations, thoughtfully guiding students in ways that encourage personal growth and overall well-being. Through our commitment during this pivotal stage, we help students transform challenges into valuable opportunities for development and achievement.

Homework

While homework is a valuable tool for reinforcing classroom learning, research shows that assigning excessive amounts does not necessarily lead to greater academic achievement. At IWA, we uphold strict homework policies that all educators follow to ensure assignments are purposeful and can be completed within a reasonable time each day. This approach supports meaningful learning while promoting healthy development and overall success.

Academics

Expectations

The expectations an educator holds for their students play a crucial role in shaping student outcomes. At Innova World Academy, our educators believe in every student’s potential to succeed, and we make this belief a cornerstone of our approach. As a result, our team consistently encourages students and provides ongoing support not only to them but also to their families throughout each day. This supportive environment fosters confidence and resilience, helping students achieve their personal best.

Assessments

Many students experience assessment anxiety, which can negatively affect their performance and ultimately lower their self-esteem. At Innova World Academy, we view assessments not as grading tools, but as tools to determine whether students are ready to move forward with new content or if they need to revisit previous topics. Each student is encouraged to finish their assessment at their own pace, while our educators work hard to ensure a safe and supportive environment throughout the process.

Success has Different Pathways

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Do students have elective classes?

Students enrolled full-time at IWA follow a comprehensive curriculum designed to meet all requirements for a graduation diploma, which exceeds the educational standards set by Arizona. Because of this, students are not required to take elective classes to earn credits for graduation. IWA does provide a range of specialized courses beyond the main curriculum, students may choose to enrol in these courses throughout the year; however, they are not part of the standard full-schedule tuition.

2. Can students from outside of the USA acquire a High School diploma?

Yes, all students who successfully complete the IWA curriculum are eligible to receive an Arizona High School diploma, regardless of their location. International students graduate with the same qualification as their peers within the USA.

3. What happens if a student enrolls in high school math, but has not taken the previous courses he need to understand his current course?

At IWA, we evaluate each student’s situation individually to ensure the best possible academic outcome. If a student enrols in a high school math course without having completed the necessary prerequisites, our faculty will first assess the student’s skills and background. We will then consult with the student’s parents to discuss available options and determine a suitable path forward. Thanks to our small class sizes and dedication to our students’ success, we can adjust and provide personalized support as needed.

4. Is it necessary for students to complete all nine courses in the full schedule to earn a high school diploma from Innova World Academy?

Yes. Students who enrol at IWA with the intention of earning a high school diploma must register as full-schedule students.
